Bride

For Nathan's birthday this past September, I bought him a new soccer ball. He had been dying to get out on a field and play. I promised him that since we were both off work one friday that we would go. Well after a LONGGGG night with Meghan and Brittany, I was not up for playing soccer. I tried hard to get out of it but he insisted we go play. Jackie even called and invited us to breakfast at Bob Evans. I thought I could make him eat too much that he would be too miserable to play. No such luck. So Nathan, Shay and I headed to Veteran's Park to play soccer. Shay was asleep in her stroller and we were shooting on each other for awhile. Shay started to wake up so I told him we better start walking before she cried. He kept insisting, "oh just a few more shots"

The last shot he made was in the back corner of the net. Of course I wasn't trying at this point because he can't actually score a goal on me :) When I dug the ball out of the back of the net, Nathan was standing over Shay's stroller and told me there was something in it. Thinking it was a bug, I ran to her and found a little white note with a pink ribbon tied to it. I opened it up and it said "Mommy, Daddy has a question for you" I turned and Nathan was down on one knee. "You always said you wanted to get married on a soccer field, but I figured getting engaged on one would be the next best thing.....Will you marry me??"

AWWWW!!

We went to dinner that night at Montgomery Inn and then went to the arcade where we met up with some great friends. It was an amazing night!!
