Elizabeth Carr & Brian Stutzman

Our Story

Brian and Elizabeth met through a family member who is a customer at Green Velvet, a gift boutique which is owned by Elizabeth. After having her number for merely a week, Brian called Elizabeth and they had a pleasant conversation...thus the beginning of many late night conversations and multiple texts. After two months of long distance communication, Elizabeth came out for a visit to California for New Year's. Shortly after their first meeting, the friendship blossomed and Brian started calling her Lizzy. Their second visit was around Valentine's Day and Lizzy nursed Brian back to health after having wrist surgery. That was the beginning of many visits back and forth. They happily enjoyed Easter together, a drive to the (west) coast, the 4th of July and attending a cousin's wedding in Maryland. Lizzy must have known about the old saying, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach"! Her excellent baking abilities definitely did the job! September came and Lizzy made another visit to Newcastle. Little did she know she would be returning home with a heart-shaped diamond on her left hand! Brian proposed at the top of Heavenly Ski Lift, 9000 feet above Lake Tahoe...it was perfectly romantic. From the very beginning it's been a "God Thing". They give Him all the glory.

Our Wedding

Brian and Elizabeth will be married on June 5th, 2010 in Auburn, CA at Auburn Grace Community Church. They are looking forward to sharing their special day with the family and friends who have been so lovingly supportive.

Our Reception

There will be a dessert reception at the church following the ceremony.
