Friends often know us better than we know ourselves...
In July of 2010, two of our close friends struck up a conversation about how perfect Nathan and I would be for one another and insisted we meet. Nathan, who originally grew up in Livermore, CA and I, who grew up in Stockton, CA knew virtually nothing about one another except for the little tidbits our friends had shared. We didn't have the same circle of friends, hadn't seen each other in person and to say the least, were a little unsure about meeting. As a matter of fact, we both nearly canceled. Finally, we put our reservations aside and agreed to meet for dinner at BJ's Restaurant (our two friends accompanied us).
Upon introductions, all things appeared good, but of course, guards were up. As the evening progressed, everything began to flow quite naturally. The conversation was easy, we laughed and joked and actually had a ton in common! Things were going so well that we decided to continue our evening at a local bar in Linden, where a group of Nathan's friends were (who are now my near and dear friends as well). We danced, well...I tried to teach Nathan to two-step, and he didn't get it that night but has since mastered it.
That night was the beginning of something bigger than either of us ever expected. We have truly been inseparable since the day we met. We are friends, partners and true companions. We often say we're like Yin and Yang, complementary yet interdependent opposites, neither of which can exist happily without the other.

As many of you know, we LOVE to cruise! We have chosen to celebrate our new beginning in the tropical paradise of the Virgin Islands. We will set sail aboard Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. The trip destination stops include the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. After our cruise, we will be spending a few days in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Then we will fly back to San Francisco and finish off our honeymoon by the bay.
