We are excited to have our wedding in the historical Fort Worth Stockyards. Fort Worth, known as "Cowtown" and "Where the West Begins" has also been called a city of cowboys and culture. We hope you enjoy the western heritage of our adopted home town, mosey around the stockyards and sip a sasparilla. Stockyards Station features the world's best barbecue, Tex-Mex cuisine, and some pretty mean margaritas. There's also shopping, a steam engine train, and a rodeo every Friday and Saturday night.
The City of Fort Worth has a city department named "The Herd." The Herd is made up of longhorn cattle and drovers who drive the cattle down Exchange Street at 11:30 every morning and back home every afternoon at 4:00. Don't miss this glimpse into Fort Worth's colorful past.
You can find all of the information at www.stockyardsstation.com.
Fort Worth is equally famous, although probably in different circles, for its cultural attractions. If you visit any of the museums in the Cultural District, wave a big howdy at the UNT Health Science Center campus where Carla has worked for 20 years.
