Danielle Cox & Todd Odenath
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Danielle: I am 27 years old and an ESL instructor in Irvine. I have been teaching English to international students for almost a year now. I love working with people from other countries and I've learned much more than I've taught. When I'm not working, Todd and I are searching for English pubs, hiking, or reading.

Todd: I am an Instructional Assistant at Santiago Canyon College and I am studying for my masters in English at Cal State Long Beach. I am 28 years old and I love rock climbing, bicycling, and reading.

How We Met:

Danielle: I was visiting my sister Natasha in Orange County (I lived in San Diego then) when my brother-in-law, Patrick, told me about a guy in his church that was getting his masters in English and wanted to go to Europe. Naturally I brushed this off as another one of their ploys to get me to move up to the O.C. so they could get a free babysitter. But after having an-oh-so-obvious meeting (thank you Natasha) at Red Robin after church I realized that the free babysitting would be worth it. In addition to having Europe and English in common, I've come to see that Todd as one of the most godly and humble men I know. His passion for loving and serving God is what I've fallen in love with most.

Todd: Patrick mentioned Danielle a few times but I didn't meet her until she came to church. I tried to play it cool but totally lost it after she spilled Chai tea on herself. We got to meet again at Natasha's Christmas party (which she set up so we could meet) and I was first intrigued by her love of literature and pursuit of teaching. I was so nervous that night I wasn't sure I entered her number in my cell correctly. Soon I realized she is everything I ever wanted; beauty, smarts, patience, and love for God.

We both love traveling, the outdoors, all things English (the country and the language), Europe, and God the most. Some of our favorite times together were celebrating the English New Years' at the Olde Ship, falling asleep to videos of Francis Shaffer, camping in the Sequoias, kayaking La Jolla and exploring San Diego.
We are getting married on our one year anniversary at 1:15 p.m. on January 10, 2009. It will be at the

The chapel was modeled after a Welsh church right down to the incomplete steeple. Apparently any completed church in England had to pay taxes to the king...so the steeple was always "under construction."

A light hors d'oeuvres and cocktail reception will be held in the chapel's gallery immediately following the ceremony.
